Teva Womens Omnium Water Shoes Wichita KS

Teva Womens Omnium Water Shoes for kayaking is technically a hybrid shoe and sandal, because they provide more support and coverage than most water sandals, but are still very light weight and quick dry like water sandals. These aren’t the absolute fastest drying water shoe on the market, but they also offer much more support and are more durable than everything else you probably have seen.

Teva Womens Omnium Water Shoes

I bought a pair of these Teva Womens Omnium Water Shoes for kayaking, but now I use them for light summer hiking as well. (They’re great when waterfalls are involved!)

Before I bought my pair Tevas, I often would get sunburns on the top of my feet when kayaking (no matter how many times I reapplied sunscreen!), and my old water shoes didn’t provide any heel or toe protection. This pair is technically a hybrid shoe and sandal, because they provide more support and coverage than most water sandals, but are still very light weight and quick dry like water sandals. These aren’t the absolute fastest drying water shoe on the market, but they also offer much more support and are more durable than everything else I’ve seen.

The other feature I really like is the adjustability of these water shoes. Teva has designed an ingenious lacing system that takes just one pull at the top to get the mesh to envelope your foot. Plus there is a velcro strap at the top that clips into a plastic buckle, making it very easy to get in and out of the shoes. That velcro strap doesn’t need to be re-adjusted because the plastic clip enables the shoe to remember your desired snugness. Finally, the back of the heel has another velcro strap, which is ideal for someone like me with a narrow heel.

If your feet are wider than average, you’ll probably want to stick to Keen water shoes . If your feet are medium to narrow width, I highly recommend Tevas.

I bought my pair true to size, rather than buying a half size larger as I do with running shoes and hiking boots. See my hiking boot shopping tips for more info on this topic.
