Kora Temple sponsors the Annual Maine Shrine Lobster Classic All-Star high school football game at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford. Every year eighty-eight student athletes and eighteen coaches volunteer their time and talents in support of helping to improve the lives of physically-challenged children. This game will be played for the benefit of Shriner's Hospitals for Children. To date, over three hundred and sixty thousand dollars has been raised to help provide free orthopedic and burn injury care for Maine children under the age of 18. Currently, the Shrine is treating nearly sixteen hundred Maine residents at its Springfield and Boston, Massachusetts facilities. All proceeds benefit the Shriner's Hospitals for children. Come join us for a week of fiber-filled fun in beautiful mid-coast Maine. This is your chance to get away and focus on all of those wonderful projects you just haven't had the time to tackle. Whether you knit, crochet, spin, felt, dye, or weave, or if you've always wanted to learn how, this is the place for you! Enjoy the company of fellow fiber enthusiasts while you spin by the fireplace or knit in rocking chairs on the porch of our lodge. Bring along a small project for a pontoon cruise around the pine-edged lake. If you're looking to start a new project or purchase some Maine fiber products, you're in luck. Local vendors and artists will set up shop and sell their wares in our lodge. We are happy to provide space for participants to sell their own products to the group as well.

Join us for "Tai Chi in the Park" every Monday at 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. from June 7th through August 30 at the Bicentennial Park in Denmark, West Main Street, Rt. 160. For the fourth summer in a row, Tai Chi demonstrations will be offered to anyone interested in this healthful art of slow, relaxed and beneficial movement. In case of rain, demonstrations will be at the Denmark Arts Center across the street.
